Q1 2021 Performance of Top Wellness Apps on iOS in Brazil

In the first quarter of 2021, wellness apps on iOS have shown varying trends in Brazil, as reported by Sensor Tower. The following is a summary of the performance of the top five wellness apps in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Calm started the quarter with approximately 24K downloads and ended with around 18K, peaking at nearly 28K in February. Weekly active users fluctuated from approximately 80K to 73K throughout the quarter. Revenue trends showed an initial increase from around $10K to $19K in the first half of the quarter, followed by a decline, settling at about $13K by the end of March.

Meditopia: AI, Meditation experienced a significant download peak of around 24K in January, with a slight decrease to 12K by March. Active users saw an initial rise from roughly 99K to 119K, then a drop to 110K. Revenue followed a similar pattern, starting at approximately $20K, peaking at $23K, and then reducing to $20K.

Gympass showed a decrease in downloads from 10K in the first week of January to around 3K by the end of March. The app had no reported revenue. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 98K and slightly decreasing to 92K.

Sleep Analysis - Sleeptic had a remarkable surge in downloads from just a few hundred at the beginning of the quarter to a high of over 11K in March. Active users increased significantly from 3K to 17K. Revenue also saw an upward trend, starting at $413 and reaching $957 by the end of the quarter.

Productive - Habit Tracker observed consistent downloads, ranging from approximately 3K to 5K throughout the quarter. Active users peaked at around 22K in March after starting the quarter at 19K. Revenue witnessed a peak of $2K in early January, followed by a decline to $1.2K by March.
